Partition
Partition - Disk partitioning is the act of dividing a hard disk drive into multiple virtual hard disk drives, referred to as partitions, in order to treat a single physical disk drive as if it were multiple disks. A partition editor software program (e.g. fdisk, GParted) can be used to create and delete these partitions.
