Typesetting
Typesetting - Definition: Setting type or typesetting is the process of putting text into the right style and size of type and the desired arrangement on the page in preparation for printing. Typesetting was once the realm of skilled typesetters but today is handled by the designer, using desktop publishing software to set type.
Typesetting includes:
choosing specific typefaces and specifying font sizes and leading
using typographical punctuation marks
applying bold, italics, and other character formatting as needed
arranging text in columns and formatting typographical visual signposts such as headlines, decks, and pull-quotes
Examples:
"Typography in graphic design involves the selection of appropriate typefaces and their arrangement on the page."
